We have received a wealth of strong, committed, and highly diverse applications for the AA32 Programme Panel. Thank you. Truly. Now, the 32 members have been selected.
The panel represents a broad cross-section of people from Aalborg and North Jutland, with different professional backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives on the world. Artists, cultural practitioners, passionate changemakers, entrepreneurs, and representatives from other parts of society are all part of the panel. The youngest member is 19 years old, while the oldest is 81.
That, in many ways, says it all about what this is really about.
If Aalborg and North Jutland are to meet the ambition of becoming a European Capital of Culture, it requires precisely this kind of diversity in perspectives, broad representation, curiosity, and a willingness to think in new ways together.
The Programme Panel will help to qualify the programme elements and the artistic direction that will form part of our application to the EU, as well as contribute to the development of directions and structure for AA32’s cultural programme.
The Programme Panel has been appointed by the Department of Culture of Aalborg Municipality and the North Jutland cultural partnership, Kulturkanten, which administers the application to the EU for AA32.
